I was born on May 11, 1959, in Elizabeth, LA and spent my childhood in Oakdale, LA. I graduated from Plainview High School in Glenmora, LA and attended Northwestern University in Natchitoches, LA.
After college, I moved to Hammond, LA where I met my future wife, Vicki Owen. We were married in September of 1980, and moved to DeRidder in 1981. I began my career with Beauregard Electric in 1982 and retired in 2019. God blessed us with two sons: Trent, who married Brittany and has given us two grandchildren, Grant and Olivia; and Trevin, who married Katherine.
